My SBI Website Story...
And How You Can Have A Website Too!

This web page explains my SBI website story, that is, how I came to have my SBI! website and how you too can succeed with SBI!

The launching of this SBI! website on the world wide web, which is barely three (3) months old as l write this, did not come by accident at all...

Now, with the successful registration and setting up of the website on the internet, it is indeed the ultimate culmination of a series of process which all started with a simple idea in my mind going way back to the year 2001.

And yet, it marks the beginning of a host of other related issues. One of these issues is the creating of great content for the site. Another is how to drive substantial amount of targeted traffic to the site. Yet another is how to establish a long-term relationship with those visitors who visit the site and, finally, how to milk the site of its steady juicy stream of multiple income.

But, right now, lying down comfortably on my sofa in my living room with my mobile in my two hands while l compose this, monetisation issues is the LEAST of my worries. That is because l am more worried about looking deep inside of me to bring out the endless amount of resources that l know must lay in my recesses.

Thereafter, l would then create great content that would be both informative and make pleasurable reading to human visitors and also appeal to search engine spiders. Now, let me relate to you how it all started and how l eventually came to have my very first SBI! website.

The Quest for the Perfect Web Host Begins

Before l go any further, I know you might be wondering why it took me so long to have my very first website after haven been in business for such a long time now. Well, the reasons are not far-fetched.

It is for the same reasons that many small-scale business persons do not have websites. At that time, l was not yet exposed to the internet and l knew virtually nothing about its operations - and, as humans, we tend to fear what we do not understand and hate what we cannot conquer (l believe l have read that line somewhere).

Additionally, many small business owners are sceptical about the internet because, not only do they not understand how it works, but they equally see some site owners perhaps in their neighbourhood who appear not to have made any remarkable progress with their sites.

Anyway, a year after l started my computer info-tech centre in a big city in Nigeria, l knew l had to get my business on the internet somehow if l was going to make rapid progress within a short time as well. To show you how serious l was at that time, l began experimenting with Microsoft FrontPage and used it to design some web pages for my then proposed website (www.komebiz.com).

Recently, l saw these pro forma web pages and l laughed hysterically at the design because it lacked professionalism of any kind.

Well, I made some enquiries on how to get an internet service provider (lSP) through a friend and one-time course-mate at College who then resided at a suburb in Lagos but he could not give me a reliable lead on the matter. Just at that same time in late 2006, my junior brother who is based in Lagos sent me an email informing me about SBl! and how it help people turn their passion into a thriving web business.

Frankly, l did not understand a word of what l felt he was yapping about as it all sounded like some mumble jumble bullshit.

It Finally Dawned On Me

Then July 2008 came and l decided to produce a video on computer fundamentals since l am into the computer training field. The video was released as planned and l began a search for a reliable marketer within the country, both online and off. That was what set me thinking and looking again at the internet from a whole new perspective. I went back to the email which l received from my junior brother in early 2006 and read it again.

I now thank God that he even thought of sending me that email and that l did not delete it as well. So, I visited his website through the link he provided and had an interesting look around, read some of the stuff there and left after a while. I also visited the official website of Sitesell Services lnc. and did an extensive study of the information l found there.

On the other hand, as for those who issued, they had a list of requirements that was as long as my right hand. I eventually settled with UBA and opened a Savings account with them. After the account opening documentation was perfected, they gave me the documents needed to operate the account which included a Verve or Visa card.

After several months of my unsuccessful attempts to order SBl! using the Visa card, frankly l became practical exhausted. I will not bore you with all the details of the back and forth emails that l had with the Support staff of the company, but suffice it to say that l eventually settled for a wire transfer because it wasn’t easy to get a Master card and l was losing valuable time getting my order through.
