How to Determine the Sex of Your Baby

Have you ever given thought to the question of how to determine the sex of your baby? Maybe you have. Maybe you have not. One thing is certain though that countless other folks across the globe worry daily about the gender of their yet-to-be-born baby. pregnant woman

In many parts of Africa, this is a highly contentious issue indeed. The simple reason for this is the high value that is placed on the male child by many families in Africa.

The male child is often seen as the most valuable child (MVC) in the family as it is believed that he would inherit and carry on the family name and legacy, while the female child would simply be married off after attaining a ripe age and become a part of a different family.

Is it any wonder then that the demand for male children in Africa is very high?

Breakthroughs in the Medical Field

Without a doubt, there has been breathtaking breakthroughs in the medical field over the years with regard to determining the sex of your baby; as to whether the baby will come out a boy or girl after delivery.

One of the modern scientific methods of sex determination of an unborn baby is ultrasound techniques. This is the most common way to predict the sex of your baby before delivery.

An ultrasound technician can help to recognise and locate either the penis or the labia, as the case may be, on the ultrasound. With ultrasound, a baby's sex can be determined from about 18 weeks of pregnancy.

On the other hand, there are a variety of factors which could impact on the accuracy of an ultrasound, such as the ultrasound technician's skill and experience in the medical field.

Additionally, during the ultrasound your baby may be facing the wrong way or have its legs crossed so that the genital area cannot be seen. Thus, it is generally considered that an ultrasound is not 100% accurate as a reliable sex predictor of an unborn baby.

Consequently, it is the policy of some hospitals not to reveal the sex of an unborn baby to expectant parents due to the fact that parents who have been praying and hoping to have either a boy or a girl child may be disappointed, if the reverse occurred; as a result of human error by hospital personnel.

mother and child Just imagine the discomfort and unhappiness that this would cause some parents who have made preparations for a particular child before the baby is born.

In some cases, some parents have been found to have bought baby clothes, baby accessories and all, expecting to get a girl child on the day of delivery - only to find out after delivery that the baby came out different! Oh, sweet grief!

It is not unusual for anxious parents of the sort described above to become sullen and disheartened, leaving the labour ward with a look of misery and despair clearly etched out on their faces. To their mind, they have one male child too many!

What a paradox that is indeed when viewed against the backdrop that some married couples would give anything to have a male child! And yet others would gladly give an arm or a leg just to have a child of any gender!

Another method that may be used to determine the sex of your baby has to do with genetic testing. This is typically done within the early stages of pregnancy as well. On the other hand, these genetic tests are not done solely for the purpose of determining the sex of your baby.

Usually, these sorts of genetic tests are done to see if there is a problem with your baby, or in rare cases, to establish paternity. Being able to predict the sex of your baby is an added benefit to these tests.

However, a major limitation to these scientific methods of sex determination of your unborn baby is that they are conducted after the actual conception of the baby has already taken place. So, what is the point of determining the sex of your baby when conception has taken place?

After all, being able to accurately determine the sex of your baby after conception has taken place will not change the sex of your baby from what it has been before the sex determination was done, will it? Of course not!

Alright, so determining the sex of your baby before delivery will enable you make adequate preparations for the baby when it is born, will it?

But, what sort of preparations are you making for your unborn baby that cannot be done within a day or two after the baby is born? Do you now see why many parents simply cannot be bothered about knowing the sex of their baby until the baby is born?

But, what if you could actually determine the sex of your baby well ahead of time even before the actual conception process is begun?

Well, we will now consider how to determine the sex of your child before the actual conception process is begun using an ancient chinese birth predictor.

Chinese Birth Predictor

According to an ancient Chinese birth predictor, the sex of an unborn baby can be accurately predicted using a birth chart that has been calibrated according to the mother's age at conception and the month that conception took place.

lt is believed that using this birth chart will enable you to determine the sex of your unborn baby before conception will take place. Thus, this birth chart is a Do-it-yourself (D-i-y) method of determining the sex of your baby on your own without consulting with any gynecologist or medical personnel.

Take a look.

From the above birth chart which has been reproduced from the ancient Chinese birth predictor, it can be seen that a woman's propensity to have male or female children is entirely dependent on her age. lf the above Chinese birth chart is to be taken at face value, then it means that a woman is more likely to have male or female children at certain times of the year and at certain ages in her reproductive life.

The Chinese birth predictor may or not be a 100% fail-safe method as a birth predictor to determine the sex of your baby before conception takes place. One thing is certain though: it does not have any known side effects whatsoever. So, hey, what the heck! Why not give it a try? After all, there is no harm in trying, is there?

On the other hand, many women who have used this birth predictor method confirm its reliability, some of whom are personally known to me. And that is the very reason that l have reproduced this birth chart on this page for other women to experiment with and take advantage of.

So, if you decide to adopt this ancient Chinese birth chart and it works for you the way it has been said it would, please do not fail to share your experiences with other users of this website.

Girl or Boy - Which is Better?

So, which do you prefer to have - all males, all females or a certain proportion of both males and female children?

Well, while you may not care about the particular gender of children that you have just as long as you have children at all, to many folks in Africa having a certain sex of the boy or girl child is highly important.

lt is not unusual then for many married couples to keep trying for a male child or a female child; while hoping with every single conception that their prayer would finally be answered after delivery of their baby.

Most often they end up being disappointed. And before they know it, they already have as many as 5, 6, 7, or even 8 children with their aspiration remaining as a seemingly unattainable dream as ever.

Therefore, it is hoped that the information contained on this page will help to put the minds of many parents across the globe to rest. On the other hand, having children in whatever sex denominator they come to parents should by all means be regarded as a precious gift like no other. After all, there are many folks out there who do not have a single child to call their own.

So, if you who have as many as 2, 3 or 4 children are grumbling and complaining that you do not have a blend of a particular sex gender among your children, what about childless married couples? What do you expect them to do?

Well, that is one less thing to worry about. But, another equally challenging matter that serve as a constant worry to all responsible parents is how to cultivate and sustain good parenting skills. This is the subject that is considered on this next page: Parenting with Love and Logic.

Similarly, how many children are too many children? This will be the subject of a future article that you do not want to miss. And just in case you have not yet subscribed to the Perfect Relationship Advisor's True Love and Dating Tips Newsletter, there is no better time than now to do it.
